Deacon’s Board Ministry

PURPOSE:

To glorify God by serving His body through caring for the operational aspects of the church, that the elders may devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:1-7; 1 Timothy 3:8-13).

OBJECTIVES:
The primary objectives of the Deacons Ministry are rooted in biblical principles:

• To assist the pastor in his mission and vision (Acts 6:3-4, I Timothy 2:7)
• To be a shining example of Christian virtues (I Timothy 3:8-13, Philippians 4:8)
• To be humble (I Peter 5:6, Galatians 5:13)
• To establish a bond with people promoting openness, encouragement and trust (I Timothy 3:1-7. Galatians 5:22-25)

VISION:
Our goals are to be humble servants, workers in the church and community, and a living testimony and witness for Jesus.

MISSION STATEMENT:
We exist  to serve, to help,  to share, and to care for the people of the congregation.  We believe Jesus is the head of the church. He is Lord, Savior and Shepherd. We recognize our Pastor as the under-shepherd, and we follow his leadership as he follows God.
